To prepare for facial waxing, avoid using retinoids, exfoliating acids, or harsh skincare products for 48 hours before your appointment, as these can make your skin more sensitive. Skip makeup on the day of your service if possible, or arrive a few minutes early to cleanse your face. Let your facial hair grow to about a quarter-inch if possible so the wax can grip effectively, and inform your wax specialist about any skin sensitivities or products you're using.

After facial waxing, you should avoid touching the waxed areas, applying makeup for at least a few hours, direct sun exposure, hot showers, saunas, and harsh skincare products for 24 hours. Skip exfoliating products and retinoids for 48 hours to allow your skin to recover. Your wax specialist will provide personalized aftercare recommendations, and you can apply a soothing product to calm any redness or sensitivity.
