Facial waxing typically lasts three to four weeks, though this can vary depending on your individual hair growth cycle and the specific facial area. Eyebrow waxing and lip waxing results generally last about three weeks, while other facial areas may vary. With regular facial waxing appointments, you'll notice hair growing back finer and more slowly over time.

Facial waxing can cause some discomfort, but most guests find it quick and tolerable. At European Wax Center, we use Comfort Wax that's designed to be gentle on delicate facial skin while effectively removing hair from the root. Areas like the upper lip and eyebrows are more sensitive, but the process is very quick. Your first facial waxing session may feel more intense, but discomfort decreases with regular appointments. To prepare for facial waxing, avoid using retinoids, exfoliating acids, or harsh skincare products for 48 hours before your appointment, as these can make your skin more sensitive. Skip makeup on the day of your service if possible, or arrive a few minutes early to cleanse your face. Let your facial hair grow to about a quarter-inch if possible so the wax can grip effectively, and inform your wax specialist about any skin sensitivities or products you're using.

After facial waxing, you should avoid touching the waxed areas, applying makeup for at least a few hours, direct sun exposure, hot showers, saunas, and harsh skincare products for 24 hours. Skip exfoliating products and retinoids for 48 hours to allow your skin to recover. Your wax specialist will provide personalized aftercare recommendations, and you can apply a soothing product to calm any redness or sensitivity.
